W-News | Meteor Showers in Russia like Doomsday, Nearly 500 People Injured | Meteor shower that hit the Urals region, Russia local time this morning actually cause panic. There was even a thought apocalypse has arrived.

A witness named Gulnara Dudka tells the dramatic events. The young woman said they were afraid and thought the apocalypse had arrived.

"I saw a flash of light from behind me. All lights, very bright. Was like in the movie Armageddon when the meteor shower starts, I really think it's like the end," said a woman in her 20s that year.

"It was horrible, especially blast. Extremely strong. I was just silent. Was so strong," he said as quoted by the Daily Mail, Friday (15/02/2013).

Russia's Ministry of Emergency declared, at least 474 people were injured, 14 of whom suffered serious injuries this meteor shower. Most of them were injured by shards of glass windows.

Approximately 20 thousand workers have been deployed to help rescue the injured. Russia's Defense Ministry said it had sent troops to the affected areas this meteor shower.

Reportedly, there are about 6 cities damaged by this meteor shower. The areas most severely affected by the meteor shower is the Chelyabinsk region.

Phone lines and cell phone signals in a number of Chelyabinsk region interrupted by the incident. Reportedly, the trigger for a meteorite that fell to earth on a local telecommunications antennas.

Lots of windows, either in the office or in a residential meteor shattered by an explosion in the air. While a factory in the area most severely damaged by the meteorite hit. The roof of the factory building collapsed and several walls collapsed.
